The Trojans cut the lead in half in the following frame, but Tech responded with two more scores in the bottom half. The Jackets got rolling in the bottom of the third as a leadoff single by Dupree was followed by a two-run bomb from Black. Dennis closed out the final three innings, giving up just two hits and adding four strikeouts on the way to her second save of the season. Neleman got the start as she threw four innings and picked up six punchouts while surrendering no runs to earn her 13 th win on the year. Tech’s one-two punch of junior right handers Blake Neleman and Chandler Dennis locked down the circle, collectively tossing a no hitter through 5 2/3 innings. Junior left fielder Auburn Dupree was the most efficient for Tech at the dish going 3-for-3 with a pair of stolen bases and runs scored to boot, but three Jackets in sophomore third baseman Mallorie Black, graduate first baseman Tricia Awald and sophomore catcher Sandra Beth Pritchett each went yard to build up the lead for the White and Gold.

The Yellow Jackets cranked three home runs, tying their season high, while containing the Trojans to allow just two hits on the day. THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball (32-12, 11-10 ACC) blew by Troy (25-14, 11-7 SBC) for an 8-1 victory on Tuesday at Mewborn Field.
